Alternative Sundre Pioneer Camp Wedding

When I found out that Carl + Tanisha were getting married, I was so happy for them. When I found out they were going to make it happen in just over 2 months, I couldn't contain my excitement!

I've known Carl since high school and I'm even marrying his brother in June! I met Tanisha a few months back when Carl brought her over for dinner. The two fell in love while working at camp and serving God and if that ain't one of the cutest love stories you've ever heard, I don't know what is.

Their big day was on October 15th, at Alberta Pioneer Camp, which is where they met. Honestly, I've have never been to a wedding that felt more authentic and true to the couple's love. They started the day by going to church together. Then they raced back to camp to start getting ready. Next, we snuck away to get some portraits taken before the ceremony (Seriously - do this! It allows some alone time together before all the chaos begins and frees up your evening).

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and took place outside surrounded by leaves, pumpkins, and hay bales. It was the perfect fall day.

Their vows were both hilarious and so beautiful. This wedding just proved to me even more that time makes no difference in love. When you know, you know.

We ended off the day by eating the most amazing potluck and sitting outside with friends by the fire.

Mark 10:9: “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."
